The Snivelling Nosepicking Menace – Part 2

The stilts were basecoated with Dryad Bark, my go-to base for wood.

Raw metal objects/buckles/jewelry were given a basecoat of Leadbelcher and any copperish objects were given a coat of Screaming Bells

Shading was kept to its simplest approach by using Army Painter Strong Tone for all but raw iron and copperish metallic surfaces, which were given a wash Nuln Oil Gloss and Reikland Fleshade Gloss respectively

Once the washes were dry, Oeth Blue was applied to highlighted blue area…

…and Evil Sunz Scarlet to the highlighted red areas.

Wood was highlighted with Ushabti Bone (image would not upload no matter what I tried so you will have to imagine). A little highlight goes a long way so as to give volume to the stilts.

Belts and other ties were highlighted with Pallid Wych Flesh, to give these accessories some volume. I suggest dotting them with a fine brush.

Teeth and nails were first painted Averland Sunset (deep dark yellow) then washed with Agrax Earthshade before they were highlighted with Ushabti Bone. This is a long process as there are many teeth and nails to paint but it is important as it brings bright details to the faces and toes.

Tongues were given a base coat of Screamer Pink and directly highlighted with Emperor’s Children

Finally, metallic objects were respectively highlighted with Vallejo Bright Bronze (what an amazing metallic range Vallejo has!) and Stormhost SIlver.
