Well, it has been a few months since I last posted on this blog or even currated it, as demonstrated by the vast amount of spam which digital cobwebb I had to expedite to the Big Detritus Pile in the Cloud. No real central reason for this absence, besides the usual emotional turmoil born from the everlasting pendulum between depression and angst, pendulum that can only stop if one learns to focus on the present moment which contains neither the seed of past regret or that of future fears. Added to this usual pointless internal agitation, I developed a serious distaste for corporate game development and production, finding as little flavor in the new iteration of 40K, Kill Team or big box kick starters as I find nowadays in the vapid Summer blockbusters that flash their gaudy colors upon our screen annually but are soon forgotten by the noisy chatters of A.D.D., Social Media frenzied minds… In fewer words, I have been in a hobby slump and have produced but a few painted miniatures and half the new Kill Team box terrain which I cannot find the motivation to finish varnishing.

So I delved head first in this gem of a game and you may expect to see a lot of related posts in the coming months, hoping that my enthusiasm for it will be contagious, as it deserves to be…
As a last note, I want to encourage you to look outside the boundaries of your usual games and gaze upon the Indie productions out there, For every corporate rehashing of the same old rules/universe, there are myriads of creative, imaginative, innovative projects few of us ever experience. As examples, take a look at the Mothership RPG, the Moonstone whimsical skirmish game, the quirky 7TV world. In these projects lay the true tabletop game renaissance. Go find them and enjoy…
